One of the most important artist in Funk/Jazz is going to perform in the city of Larissa on Sunday the 29th of November at Mylos club. Pee Wee Ellis was born to play music. He began studying piano and clarinet but in the end he chose the sax. Pee Wee joined the James Brown Revue in 1965 and began arranging with James Brown almost right away, becoming band leader within six months. He soon began writing with Mr. Brown and co-wrote Funk’s biggest hits like Cold Sweat, Sex Machine, Papa’s Got a Brand new Bag and many others. After the end of his collaboration with James Brown, Pee Wee pursued solo career but also worked with artists such as George Benson, Van Morrison through Fred Wesley, James Taylor and many others.

He has released 18 albums with other artists and 9 solo albums. His latest work is called Different Rooms.
